Update:Now accepting NATIONAL submissions from across the country. Deadline: Oct. 15, 2020
Open Call! (Trad. Chinese follows)
We are looking to create a COVID-19 themed publication for print & local distribution in the Chinese community!
Submit your artwork, writing (max 500 words), poetry, or photos!
How have you been coping during the pandemic? How have the intersections of race or gender affected your experiences during this time? Have you been able to reconnect & reflect during this period? What have you learned or struggled with?
We are collecting stories about the Chinese and Chinese Canadian experience during COVID-19. We are accepting submissions in English & Chinese and will have publications translated into the corresponding language for a bilingual edition.
Please send your submissions to [email protected] by September 30, 2020. Accepted submissions will receive a $50 honourarium.
Accepted (written) submissions will also go through an editing process. Please feel free to send a collection of photos/artwork, however we may choose a smaller selection for print.
Please save files as FirstName LastName - Title with written pieces in Word or other editable files and send in a short bio and/or photo for print alongside if you wish!
Open to all ages - kids to seniors! We accept all levels of art & submissions in Chinese and English.
